Here is just a quick re-cap from Round 4 which was competed today @ Eastern Creek
The usual faces were all there for Round 4 which took place @ Eastern Creek under ideal weather for the Supersprint round. It was good to see the presence of some of the quick Honda's out and about competing on the track.
The overall day was very slow, due to many casualties and one big oil spill hauted proceeding for more than 2hours of the day. We finish the event at 5pm where there was just about enough daylight for the final run.
Personally i like Eastern Creek, as i was able to used all 9200revs for more than 50% of the track. More than 70% of the track time requires full throttle and speeds through turn one is just crazy
At the end of the day, our car was the victor in our class with a new pb and class win of 1:47.5. This is close to 4 second quicker than our previous pb with the B16a and close to 1/2 seconds quicker than our rivals in the Toda/Mfactory civic.
The team is very estatic with the overall result with heaps more potential from the car to come. The main aim from the day was to get into the 1:48's and we certainly achieved that. From using the data from my mates phone, if i could string a good lap together low to mid 1:46's can be achieve with the current set-up. I guess the driver is not up to it
Stay tuned for an annoucement for further development of the car as we have picked up a new sponsorship for the car. New exciting products and goodies for the car (Some real track products )
Once again, just want to Thank the usual for attending and supporting our crew, Dave for the awesome engine package (B20vtec), Insight Motorsport for the Vi-pec ECU and Performance Exhaust for their custom work
Can't wait until the next round in 5 weeks!
Waiting on Matt Mead for the photo's from todays event
