Thanks for the comments guys. Unfortunately I don't have any more rolling shots beyond what I've already posted. Access is quite restricted with only a pit-crew pass. Media pass is where its at...

i think Tom's tyre choice is a little too aggressive for his car, especially with a stock engine. I bet ya if you use stock rims with good street tyres, you'll be quicker!

I disagree. I don't think the tyres were the issue. The exact tyres I was running on Sunday did 1.41 at Winton on Mugsee's car with only about 15kW more than my car. Faster by over a second compared to a 235/215 setup of an arguably superior tyre, so it obviously works in some situations. I had grip for miles when the track was smooth and when I wasn't messing up my driving.

I agree with you guy. After all, it's your car and you know yourself it the wheel set up was a benefit or not.
I agree with something you said before about spring/damper rates. Bumpy roads and skidding across them will give you a slower lap time than a comparable car without the skdiding. That and mor experience with the track itself.

On a serious note, what spring rates are you running? You remember I mentioned doing easy low 1:26s on worn Continental SportContact2s (80% tread) with stock R32 Golf suspension setup? At both WP and OP I'd prefer stiff stabilizers over springs. Both surfaces are punishing for harder sprung cars. All that grip was lost with wheel hop guy.

Not sure what you are laughing at guy , does my comparison not make sense to you? My spring rates are 14kg/mm front and 24kg/mm rear. Not too high , but certainly too high for Oran.
