The distance from Sydney to Winton is nearly exactly the distance from Melbourne to Wakey, a trip I have made more than once, so you guys should harden up and come down and you can test your theory about my lack of drinking ability . Good luck to you in that endeavour, you had better bring your drinking liver .

Depending on your preference and movements there is decent cheap cabin style accomodation in Benalla, and if you are coming all the way down to Melbourne you are welcome to sleep on my lounge room floor. It will be safer than mugsee and I were at Q's house .

That goes without saying. I'd rather walk through the streets of Lebanon with a Turkish flag over my back than be stuck in a darkened room at Q's house.

Something to ponder now. I'm pretty keen for this... but concerned about Q Ball being "up for it" too.

When I went up for the John Bowe Hi-Perf Drive day, we stayed at Top of the Town Motel which has 10-12 rooms i think. They typically recommend course attendees to stay there. No complains for a single night sleepover. Enuff car parking area n each room should comfortably sleep 2.

Warning...I'm a loud snorer...

As a local I can point you in the direction of some good places.

Trekkers Rest have group style accommodation. It is about $20-$30 per night.
Commercial Hotel - Nice pub in the main street, accommodation and meals, if you ring talk to Matty and tell him Ronkey sent you

For meals the best in Benalla is the Royal Hotel, try a stockmans steak!!!

There are already 40 booked in for this track day so places are filling up fast.
