i work on the new free flow tolling system on the gateway motorway and logan motorway and our test gantry is at lakeside.

ive done a fair few laps of the track at low speed (not allowed to fang it under test conditions) and its awesome. its nothing like queensland raceway which is flat and boring. lakeside has hills, sweeping turns, gantries and bridges to drive under and you even drive over one part which has a tunnel underneath it which normal cars drive under as they come in.
      almost JDM spec, y0!

Someone with a system in place should contact Mako Trac in Cairns and organise some sprint days -- There is nothing up there and it would get a strong following..

Either way, when I'm back in Bris Im keen for sure -- Early 2010!

Next sprint for Track Attack is Saturday the 17th of October.
If you like Mini's might be worth the trip out - I have a list of nearly 20 Mini drivers who want to come out for a drive at Lakeside.
Plus our usual mix of cars and drivers.
Its looking like a big day guys, so get your entries in early !

                Cheers Jeff

Most helmets designed for cars or motorbikes will meet the requirements.
Anything that meets AS1698 or most of the european or american standards will be fine.
                              cheers Jeff
