I am mostly wondering if this event is suitable for a track newbie? I drive a pretty stock DC5R and have never really ventured near a circuit.

Yes, it is. It is the safest track in Victoria and a stock dc5r is just fine!

There will be instructors available to show you around the track, and also give you pointers and what/what not to do. If all goes to plan, you would become like me going to track days at least once a month

once a month? i didn't know there are so many track days....u must change tyre every 2-3 months...how come u didn't come to winton last time? thought u'd be there if u go every month

vince ran outta money cause he did a track day every month for about 2 years. Now he hangs aournd the homeless shealters hehe.

There are heaps of track days. All you have to do is to go to CAMS web site, search for car clubs in Victoria, and literally go to every single car club's web site and look at their schedule. I have a set of semi slicks just for track use.

Phil, we need to hook up on Winton 6 hour relay, Phillip Island 6-hour relay when I come back in a year or 2.
