    Bathurst 12 hour

Carl Schembri (from CRS Automotive) in a Honda Integra DC5 Type S came 13TH at the Bathurst 12 hour enduro on the weekend 3rd in class E.

Two Celicas’s ahead of him and it looks like some other cars in the class had problems.

A DC2R Integra was also entered but DNF’d (same as last year).

From what I’ve read of the regulations you can make quite substantial changes to the cars (10% weight loss, free camshaft selection, aftermarket ECU, free diff type, can run non-standard brake pads, rotors, springs, dampers, conrods & pistons, free exhaust after the manifold, etc).

The Morris BMW 335 might have won it again this year but was apparently put a lap down for passing a car under yellow flags.
    Overall results – 1st & 2nd. Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 9s. 3rd BMW 335

Looks like a BMW 135 should be the thing for next year’s event.

If I change the nut behind the wheel then my sloppy lines improve and I can get some consistency to sort out my iffy handling, my worrying lack of braking ability goes away, after that I can start fretting about my suspicious lack of straight line grunt.

Damn, my money was on Garry Holt and Paul Morris too. Maybe next year then.

      Did I read this RITE,

      Can’t believe Celica 1 “n” 2 and the Integra 3rd in it’s class.

I’m hoping it was due to more fuel stops!
