    [NSW] EXE Crew at Wakefield Park - November 3rd 2014

    Hey all, I thought I'd share this here in case some of the ClubITR crew are keen for a day down at Wakefield. Here are the details:

    Date: November 3rd 2014
    Venue: Wakefield Park Raceway
    Price: $170
    Places: Maximum 40
    Format: Open Practice

    Personal Requirements:
    - A valid CAMS L2S or AASA licence
    - Long sleeves and long pants of a non-synthetic material
    - Enclosed footwear only, no sandals allowed.
    - AS1698 or equivalent helmet, either full face or half face.

    Vehicle Requirements:
    - Vehicle in good running condition including:
    - Tyres in roadworthy condition with enough tread
    - No oil or fluid leaks
    - Brakes in good working condition
    - No loose parts, including battery
    - Vehicle interior and boot clear from loose items (including spare wheels)
    - Aftermarket bonnets must have a secondary bonnet restraint
    - Fire extinguisher is COMPULSORY. It must be AS 1841.5 compliant, rigidly mounted with a metal bracket and readily accessible by driver. BCF or Halon types are illegal.
    - In the event that there is an oil leak from your vehicle or any other sort of clean up caused by your vehicle, you are fully responsible for the cost of any supplies required for the clean up.
    - Tow points must be present and readily accessible

                hm... first time I have heard that you need a fire extinguisher for a private day.

                  The day is not private, it is open to anyone . For days like these it's up to the organiser to set any additional requirements they have for vehicles or the running of the day in the supp regs, and for ours some years ago we decided fire extinguishers weren't a bad idea.

                    Yeh Tom is right. Despite it not being a requirent for some private days, its always a good idea to have one in the vehicle for any motorsport event. That could be the difference of your whole car written off or a small fire which can be extinguished. Its a safety requirement by CAMS and it certainly has its reasoning
