Hey guys,

I couldn't make it due to clutch not being ready in time, plus I ended up working until 5am that morning...

Sounds like a top day and really bummed I missed it. Congrats on the good times too.

Just wondering how you guys approach your lapping?
Here's what I have been taught purely in regards to cornering, and it helped me heaps last time at EC. Might seem like over-complexity but it made me faster without driving harder.

Per Corner.
1. Find braking point and initial braking pressure. (Braking pressure = `brush and bury' to stabilise or just `bury' if generally a stable area)
2. Find Turn in point
3. Find Brake release point (sometimes braking up to apex. etc)
4. Find Apex; late, early, double, multiple options.
5. Find Accel point
6. Find exit point, ie point where lock is fully unwound, often edge of track.

How were you guys taking turn 2, late turn in or early turn in? Apexing in the middle or kind of `double apexing'?

I am missing being on the track so much! Gotta make Wakefield circuit club...

turn 2 definately late turnin/apex due to turn 3 following straight after.. plus it comes back on itself

i brake straight (follow the lockups) and then very late apex turn 2, hit the edge of the inner ripple strip, then try to find the edge of the concrete near the brown dirt on the exit, hard in third...

i know the HCCNSW Civic does 1:53's easy, it is a just striped EG with stock B16A, coil-overs, brakes and semis...

so a 1:54 just means i was getting close to the real zone, where you stop making mistakes and start finding true speed...
