    Comment

AFAIK, yes... it would... no way to tell who is driving, it went on the number on the car...

On that clean lap that you were doing did u notice any cars on the track? Maybe u can try and find a car which is on the track at the same lap same session to give you an idea. For eg if you see a car always infront of you for a certin amount and that car got a 157 in that lap then it would give you an idea?

i was chasing trent the session before... session 22, last lap...

but he was getting away from me with my mistakes and unclean lines, i got 1:57.47 on it though and he got 1:54 on that exact lap though????

tehn came in, bear told me that it was nlast session and to get back on the track... so i did, and there were hardly any cars at all, free open track, then i did two 1:58's... then i did my cleanest lap of the day, session ended... came in and told bear "that was fcuking awesome!" and that was it...

          but 3 seconds?

if it is true, then i am fully shocked.

but it *can* happen, a perfect fluke lap can just be there right at the end?!

well, if you have substential amount of track expeirence *which you have* then usually if you feel its better it can most likely be true.

So its most likely possible. whats the astrik next to your name for? LOL lucky star?

Anyways 154 or 157 awesome times, i think you should be happy with either

Now time for incar laptimer groupbuy?

thats how it always is david, you never feel as fast as you think you are on those really fast laps, but thats what makes it fast

If you did have really big mistakes like going too hot into corners, traffic holding you up then 3 seconds is not unreasonable.

Consistant 1:57/1:58s and then a freak lap 3 seconds faster? Dunno about that...

How does this timing system work exactly?

                  Comment

there is like a photocell light beam thingy and every time its broken it records a time of the day to the thousandths of a second

then you just assign a car number to it and once its done twice "time of day - time of day = lap time"

so tink, was there anybody close to you within 3 seconds?

                    Comment

not sure what the asterix * means.
but if you look at car number 29, he had a asterix next to his name as well.
he's running a stock dc2r with street tyres and was unlikely to have done a 1.54 as he was lapping above 2 mins most of the time, so probably a mistake?

how did you feel after your 1:55 Jase? spot on? cleanest lap? no mistakes?

i know the last lap of the last session i ran in was pretty close to perfect, plus i had just chased Trent pretty hard making mistakes to get a 1:57...

then i pulled off a clean, fast, flowing and uninterupted lap... yes, a *freak lap*, but for someone who was introduced to circuit racing through 4 lap CAMS supersprinting, it really is the way to "drive for the prize"...
