Hey guys,
I’ve been building up my EG Honda Civic Breeze over the past few months. However, I’ve decided to put it up for sale to stop me from spending more money on it. I’ve sunk a frightening amount of cash into it and if I keep it, I’m dead certain I’ll probably end up broke. So I’m removing the temptation all together.
The Civic was purchased bog stock, and I spent nearly two months finding it. This Civic is truly accident free, with 100% original paint on it. No panels have been resprayed and no panels have been removed (I simply will never buy a car that’s been resprayed). While the body certainly isn’t in perfect condition – there are dings, small scratches, etc that you would expect of a car of this age – in my eyes that’s fine as the original paint ensures no accidents or dodgy repairs. Please note that the guards have been pumped a lot to allow me to run a wide scope of wheel widths and offsets.
All of the mechanical work was done by IS Motor Racing; this isn’t a backyard-assembled job. As you can see by its mods, a hell of a lot of money has been spent, and I’m selling it for basically half of what I’ve spent on it.
The DC2 Type R motor is a JDM version (Paul from IS and myself inspected three B18CRs before choosing this one), and was disassembled for a thorough inspection. It had traveled 75k kms when purchased, and its head has been cleaned, inspected and decked. All new seals and gaskets (including sump gasket), new pumps, new clutch, timing belt and so on were fitted before being installed. Nothing was left to chance.
Only 1500km have been done since the engine conversion (just serviced again, as per my normal 2000km regime with all my cars using Royal Purple engine oil and Motul gearbox oil), and the car hasn’t been thrashed or taken to a track. The quads were installed about 500kms ago and have been dyno tuned as well as road tuned. The mid-range power increase is between 12-15kW. The focus has been on driveability, and more power can easily be had for those who want to concentrate the car for circuit work.
This Civic was initially built with Wakefield in mind, and I’m sure that with semis it can easily lap in the 1:10 region. Any half competent driver will be able to get it to mid-13sec passes down the quarter.
The car carries an engineer’s certificate (note: was done prior to quads and exhaust), and engine and EG6 gauge cluster are both noted with the RTA. There’s rego til 26 Aug.
Below is its spec list off the top of my head. I’m sure there’s more, but that’s all I can remember at the moment.
