    trust me, i drove all of 2007 on R888's and i know them, 33.5 hot is perfect on a DC2 with coil-overs...

    but they dont like being overdriven at all...

        did you go out with another person and see how they drove?

        this helps heaps with initially learning how to drive on the track (which is 100% different to driving fast on the road!!!)

          On the topic of Semi's and R888's in particular. I have not used a BRAND NEW set of semi's before.

          Do they need to be run in, kinda like street tyres? or can you throw them on and hit the track???

                absolutely... went in a 180sx that was lapping 1:10 consistantly... after doing that it really build my confidence

                  So driving to Wakefield with them on, should get them in? Or should I put these on for a few days before hand?

                    Not needed. They won't really get hot enough like that anyway.

                    I took a brand new set of RE55S to Wakefield. The first session of the day was enough to scrub them in. Be warned. Brand new semis can be like driving on Maccas trays. I'll never doubt a driver that spins out on the warm up lap again. I had a moment first time into the fish hook at just 25km/h. Got the back ones warmed up nicely.

                    Just take it nice and easy and you should be at full stretch in the second session.
