Give your car a fresh oil change and check your coolant and brake fluid. I would recommend a thicker oil such as Motul 15-50 since your car is stock. Not sure which track you are running on but the oil temp can hit as much as 130 degrees after 3 hard laps.

Don't worry too much about it though. Go out there and get to know the limits of your car and most importantly, have fun

    good luck

        battery secure and terminals tight

        seatbelts and seat secure

        remove spare wheel and jack

remove ALL loose items from inerior, including glovebox

make sure wheel nuts are correctly torqued

i will think of some more tomorrow...

what tyres will you be using?

          What Dave said.
That's basically what I check over if I'm scrutineering cars.
Any thing loose does not pass scrutineering, so you might as well get in to the habit

I'd bring a spare bottle of oil, socket set, coolant and maybe a jerry of petrol just incase.

I WOULD actually bring along a spare tyre, jack and associated equipment to changing a tyre if required. Something always seems to happen to tyres at the track....

but take all this gear out of the car before going onto the track. For example if you go to Wakefield Park Raceway, you are able to leave the spare equipment in one of the spare carports there.

I bring food and drink (hot this time of year in the car around the track!) for between rounds (there might not be a snack shop open on the day?)

Usually have to wear long pants and long sleeves, along with a helmet if possible (borrow one off a mate to save you a couple of bucks.)

Have fun! Its so worth it rather than being an idiot on the streets!

Pretty sure 1st Dec is booked out - unless you've reserved a spot!

You can go to any open day at eastern creek/wakefield. Grab some mates and go ahead =)
