dunno...why dont you call your local mechanic and ask them?

honda should be able to do it, but it wont be cheap

Dude starter button install would be best installed by a Auto Electrician. I would never trust a Mechanic to do any electrical and electronic stuff. There not trained for it and most mechanics reckon they can do a CD player install but 80% of the time they stuff sumthin up or rewire sumthin wrong.

We auto electricians laugh at mechanic's jobs.

i have the jdm starter button installed on my car, and the installation is very simple. Its truly plug n play except there is one extra clutch wire that you have to ground it because the aussie dc5 doesnt have the connector for the clutch wire. It would take you about 30 mins to install it.

Basically, you need to remove the switch pannel, cut it so that you can snap in the button holder, then you unscrew the plastic cover underneath the steering wheel and unplug a large connector and connect the starter button hardness between the connector and the steering wheel socket. Also ground the one pin wire to a car body. At last, put back the steering plastic cover and switch panel on and u're done.

by this do mean that the aussie dc5 doesn;t need clutch in before the car will start? cos i had heard this and my book says it wont start unless clutch in but my car does. nothing big just interested to know

matt : everything is possible , you can cut 1 or 2 wires to by pass the clutch in b4 you start the engine

                          Do you have 1?

matt: the aussie dc5 probably doesnt have a clutch wire unlike JDM dc5 as another ozhonda member told me that. You are right that the car should start unless the clutch is in but it isnt in the aussie dc5. Think about it, we can start the car now without clutch in so its not suprising that we dont have the clutch wire.
