If the stock cat back is 57 mm and mandrel bending why would people up grade to say J's racing cat back when that's 60 mm.. 3 mm is nothing and is also the same bend's etc it isn't more or a direct route?? Would it be right to say the same improvement or close would be achieved by adding a straight through muffler on the stock cat back??????? If not please don't hesitate to explain in full! Thanks

Mandrel bent = The pipe has the same circumference in the straight pipe as the bent pipe. IE Good.

Press bent (IE "Normal" bent) = The pipe is press bent into shape, so the bend is going to have a smaller circumference then the straight part of the pipes. IE Bad

You'll also find that the OEM DC2R exhaust is going to be more aimed towards silence, so the muffler and resonator are going to be more restrictive then say on the J's racing item, which is going to be aimed more to power.

I have never owned a DC2R, but I’m guessing like most N/A cars, a cat back alone is going to yield you next to no gain by it’s self. But when you mate it to a decent header, high flow cat (As running no cat is illegal) and a decent intake, you’ll gain a handful of killerwasps.

look dude, you gotta start making more of an effort...

                    if someone posts up:

                    google: ITR bottleneck
                    goto www.google.com

                    and type in: "ITR bottleneck"

                    see:

so the next step is to look at a few of the other websites that come up on google regarding this from peeps who have ALREADY been through this stuff and THEN come back here and ask questions if you don't fully get it...
