How to get CD player out

Trying to get the CD player out of my DC5 and i carn't get it out.
The manual says that i have to poke this tool down the sides but this isnt working
So i am thinking i may have to get the little storage thing out from below the CD player and go in that way. Any thoughts?

BTW its a sony CDX-800 (inthink)

I think this has most relevence to you?

one more thing, once you remove the 8mm bolts/screws, you can just push the unit out by putting your hand into the back and pushing the unit outwards. if you try and pry it out with screwdrivers etc u can damage the trim around it. (i learned the hard way)

Thanks for that. The manual that came with the CD player. Hmm i think i should have searched abit more thanks anyway
