    DC2 HID bulb replacment

    Hey guys.

Ive got a 98spec DC2 TypeR. Just bought some 8000k replacement bulbs for it. Was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to replace the bulbs without removing the headlights/bumper?

    Cheeeeeeeeers.

    Nah mate can't be done.

You gotta rip the whole car apart.

    1. Take off wheels.
    2. Take off Doors
    3. Pull off Front End with hacksaw
    4. Smash Open light with a hammer
    5. Cram Bulb in
    6. Repeat in reverse and glue the car back together.

      lol...

I suspect kavehman is being slightly unhelpful because you've bought 8000k bulbs...

I'd suggest returning them and getting some 4300k bulbs so you can actually have some useful light on the road on front of you - but anyhow...

I'm not sure how the JDM 98spec lights are set up but I would think that you'd be able to remove the ballast/ignitor from the back of the headlight and install a new bulb from there...
