hey guys. i drive a dc2r, just your thoughts on this, it very hard and sometimes impossible to get in to 2nd gear when im down shifting!! its killing me. any suggestions or guarantees on what it can be..
thank you.
turns out i checked the wrong oil!! where do i look to find the gear box oil?
if i double clutch it down to 2nd it works sometimes, like in high revs, but down in low revs it wont nudge!!!

you have to undo a 17mm bolt in teh bottom of the gearbox...
but finding out how OLD the oil is will be step 1.
if it is old, replace and see if it improves,
if it is relatively new - like under 5000km then you probably have a worn 2nd gear syncro... or a damaged clutch... but if it were the clutch, it would happen in all gears, not jsut 2nd...
try changing your gearbox oil with Honda MTF 1st, only cost $15 or so per bottle and you'll need 3 bottles for the 2.2L-2.3L you'll need
if still the same, assuming your clutch is releasing properly and your clutch hydraulics all ok....it's could be the synchros, and more likely still is the 1st/2nd gear synchro sleeves/hub getting worn. There is no guarantee what part(s) could be the culprit till you pull the box apart and inspect all components.
