FN2R Gearbox suited for Kswap?

    FN2R Gearbox suited for Kswap?

    I have been advised that the K20 Gearbox from an FN2R is not suitable for a Kswap applications as they case have different mounts. Can someone please confirm this?

    hmmm I think I have the FN2R box in my car
    any way to check?

        mmm pretty sure they are the same gearbox casing
        you are changing the mount when you do a k-swap anyway
        might have to swap the shifter mechanism depending on what shifter box you are using
        and install the VSS gear on the diff, but AFAIK the mounting points on the case is the same.

          The outter casing is different. So no you cannot use em. But you can use the internals of the box i.e gears/finaldrive/LSD and etc.

                Just the mounting point. The bel housing is the same i think.

                    Can be used with the modification of a speed sensor or buy one of these to make the speedo work with out machining a hole for the speed sensor http://www.hybrid-racing.com/product...verter-sensor/
