    DC5 Coilover setup/advice

    Hi Guys,

My BuddyClub N+ coilovers are getting delivered soon and i am looking into what I need to get them installed and done properly, once.

I am looking at getting -2.0 camber up front (a little higher if possible) and -1.5 at rear with 0 Toe, as i have seen suggested on this forum a few times. I will only be dropping my car 1.5" or so because my driveway is way too steep to go any lower. I am also running stock Type S rims. My car is only driven once every few weeks so tyre wear isnt an issue.

I was wondering if i will need any camber kits/bolts to get the numbers i want and also where to have this installed and alignement done, I'm in the Bankstown area.

(i have PM'd a few people on this forum, but getting mixed messages so i thought id open a thread)

    Thx.

you should be able to get those numbers quite easily without any additional hardware on the front. around 2.5 up front is generally leaning towards the limit with stock tie end rods. to get 1.5 degrees on the rear with only a 1.5'' drop you will need to pick up an adjustable upper arm. im using buddyclub p1's but there are many alternatives out there

as for installation if you dont mind spendng a bit more money and geting the job done right i highly reccomend Heasmans Steering in Sydenham, they did my alignment when i had my new wheels fitted and i was very happy with their work.

you can pick an SPC rear camber kit for $180usd shipped, thats how much i picked mine up for. jump on it while the dollars still strong.

Hi Guys, just got my BuddyCLub N+ installed and my Camber set.

Now i was wondering what damper settings you guys use? I am currently running hardest up from and 7 from hardest at the rear, which was set by the installer.

Looking for a perfromance bias setup and not ride comfort as i dont drive much.

Firmer rear than front is recommended. Ultimately it's a little guess work until you have it corner weighted and load tested by a specialist.

I wouldn't run anywhere near firmest setting for the street.

                Run more camber front.

As for dampers, set both on med for street. Once at the track adjust accordingly.
