    DC5R coilover height

    Hi all

So I've just bought some new rims for the Integra (Still waiting on them to be shipped from JDM land), and it looks like my current coilovers aren't going to cut it in the height department to get the look I'm after, mainly in the front.

Currently I'm running Aus spec Tein SS. These have served me well for the last 3 or so years I've had them, but the front is currently at it's lowest point, and I want to go at least 1-2cm lower.

So I put it to you ClubITR, coilover heights, which ones offer a height that I would be chasing? I've done a search on here and the interwebz but come up with mixed information.

It seems the Buddyclub RSD (Or whatever it is) can offer me with my height needs... but is there anything else on the market? I'll also need something with camber adjustability in the front (Tein SS have a Pillow mount), as I'll probably have to run a "little bit" (Read: -2' - -3') of camber up front.

I don't drive the car during the week, and my weekend driving is starting to become more limited, so I'm not really phased by the low ride height, or bumpy coils/shocks

    Thanks again team.

I know my Tein Monoflex could go as low as i wanted without affecting the damper performance.

Thanks for the info Didz... how low was the lowest point on the coilovers?

I know this is a very noob question, and that it isn't ideal for the damper performance, but my new rims aren't going to get the effect I want if I am rolling at the above ride height. If I can get a few names/brands that can get the ride hieght I'm after I'll investigate which one is best from there.

monoflex can be dropped to the bottom, doesnt affect damper travel, how much do you want to spend? im also looking to upgrade suspension soon so i can drop it a bit more, is your steering hard with wider tyres as well? mite look into steering arm relocation bracket as well.

OK so far the list consists of
          - Buddy Club RSD
          - Tein Monoflex

Funds I'm not sure on. Probably $1,500+

As for steering, not heavy at all, if anything it seems to be lighter. I am using Akom inverted tie rod ends at the moment also.

              Maybe...

Or maybe I've developed a full length under body diffuser that doesn't work to it's full potential unless the car is very low...

But going hellaflush is probably cheaper

This. Tein N1s and Mugen N1 will get your car very low, but also with mega negative camber at the front and probably higher spring rates than you want. When I had stock top mounts at the front I got to my current ride height, about 1 finger gap to my hammered out guards, with about 45mm more low available at the front and roughly the same at the rear. They go pretty low.

Just scout out the slammed/hellaflush threads on ClubRSX, Progress seems to be an accepted option to get pretty slammed with decent ride comfort.

wouldnt the easiet way to compare coilover height adjustability be just comparing the overall height of coilover and the spring itself?!?! i find most n1 track models to be alot shorter in both damper chasing and spring height..plz correct me if im wrong..
just compare any new coilover to ur current one and u should have a rought indication of how much lower u can go...

                          Thanks for your input.

I've just had a quick look at the Progressive coilovers, and it seems that the front and rears require to use the strut tops from the OEM shocks... which could be a bit of an issue.

But I'll look into the ClubRSX and a few other pages for some info on what they are running, was thinking of looking at RimTuck also.

                            No, it wouldn't.

I would physically have to get my hands on a set of Mugen N1 coilovers (For example) and then compare the heights. So not only would I have to find a set in Brisbane, but I would also have to take out my current coilovers to get a accurate measurement.

I think the easiest way would be to ask for other peoples advice or keep doing research, as I don't plan on buying a set, and then not being happy with the height or ride quality.

The progressive ones u linked to may not go as low as you want. They are a similar design to my DMS coils which do not go very low; Pretty much just 30mm drop.
