    O2 Oxygen Sensor

My O2 Sensor before the cat decided to the quit its job when i changed my engine mounts. Took it to my mechanic and he plugged in his little magic machine and confirmed its the O2 sensor before the cat.

Got quote $300 for the job
Sounds expensive, anyone got cheaper options?

yeps that primary O2 sensor. The price for OEM primary O2 sensor from Honda is ~$380. Check if the sensor that he is giving you is the OEM honda or some other brands.

Clubrsx is selling them for heaps cheaper, http://www.clubrsx.com/browse/cr/?fM...arch=&limit=30

          Part Number: DEN-234-9005
          Part Number: DEN-234-9006
          Part Number: DEN-234-9004

I am guessing the "DEN-234-9005" is suitable for the Type R we have in AUS?

selling for heaps cheaper but if u calculate the shipping as well its not a big difference, if ur mechanic can source a proper OEM denso one for $300, id say do it.

If you want to get rid of your engine light a way around it is to use 2 spark plug non fouler drill one of them out to fit the O2 sensor and the other one to space it out so your O2 sensor will not read as much.

I would consider doing that to the secondary o2 sensor but I wouldn't do that to a primary o2 sensor. The primary does a very important function.

If your going to run your car on the track i would just change it out like you normally would but if you are just driving around i would do the quick fix
