DC5 trims?

I have noticed that dc5's have some odd changes to the trim and seem to have no ryme or reason. The changes are to the air vents passenger side with silver rings/covers, shifter suround silver and inner door handle surround being silver also. Mite just be me but only noticed on cw exterior and black/red interior.

Irish R has all of above. DC5R JDM 03 CW B/R
Me wpg81 rings/covers only. DC5R AUDM 01 CW B/R
old member DJG 78 shifter,door handles DC5R AUDM 03 CW B/R

I have looked at a fue other (dc5r) and not seen any silver in these positions. Have i just missed it when looking at others or is it some factory special order?

it was an optional extra at the time of new car purchase, i remember talking about it with a car salesman when i was looking at buying a brand new dc5r back in 2004

i think maybe on the newer models as well.

mine is an 01 and does not have all that silver stuff around the passenger vents shifter etc, but a friend of mine has an 03 model or around then and it has the silver and his 16 OE wheels are a slightly different colour etc

I've got an '04 dc5 and it's got none of the silver accents at all.
