who do you recomend for servicing???

    hey all

I was wondering who you guys recomend for servicing in the sydney area.

At the moment im probably going to take it to honda as i dont know any places that are specialists with honda's particularly the Type R.

i have a few niggling little things i need to fix which i heard are common problems....
ie: - passenger window rail rattles when the window is down
    - one of the window wiper jets is not squirting water
    - At 4000 rpm....there's a distinct change in enigne noise but then its not there after 4000 rpm.
    - and general maintence, oil and other general service requirements.

    cheers

Hmm, the general servicing you should just do yourself. Its easy and saves leaving your car with the mechanics and saving yourself some coin at the same time.

He's got my previous car It's only been 2 days and I'm already missing the rev happy b18 I've put the car back to stock since I bought it.

The sound at 4000rpm which he is trying to explain is a resonance throughout the exhaust system when the engine is around the 4000rpm mark. I've been in other dc2s and it seems to have the same resonance. Tightening the handbrake usually helps a little.

Harry, the stock susspension which is on has travelled 30,000kms. when i bought it the previous owner had done 38,000kms. but if it feels like 30,000kms then it's all good. haha

pricing depends on the oil u use...

hey felix, i didn't know they have elf... is it 10w30 and how much is it?

yeah thread starter, i recommend Hanny's Performance too... they are Honda specialists...

                          hannys recommended too!
for normal oil change with OEM honda oil your looking at around $100
if mobil or elf i think about $150-$160
be sure to give them a call

what do you guys think about Motul oil...i used this oil for my s15.

i have been taking my car to Pro Concept so i might continue taking it there, Pro Concept is also more convinient for me with work and uni.

the 4000rpm thing is a little annoying as the it resonates thru the car...is there anything i can do to over come that?

I've heard of good things about Pro Concept too and considering they have two Hondas as there track cars then they should have some knowledge on Hondas to say the least?
