JDM CV boot = AUDM CV boot?

hey guys, as tittle states im wondering if the inner cv boot on the jdm driveshafts are the same as the audm driveshafts on DC5R?

recently the left inner cv boot on my jdm driveshaft has split and i need to get a replacement. cant confirm if i can just purchase the left inner cv boot for AUDM dc5Rs locally from honda.

anyone else had the same experience that could chip in would be much much appreciated.

    thanks

No idea whether the CV boots are the same between JDM and AUDM but I would be $2 that they are. The CV boots can be purchased separately, I got an outer from www.oemacuraparts.com a while back.

CV boots are exactly the same.

Only difference between them are the lenght of the shaft.

been told by honda otherwise, JDM cv boot is thicker and audm is thinner or was it the other way around.
eitherway they are not the same but PPL with jdm driveshafts can use aftermarket cv boots instead.

I am going to need more than the vague word of someone at Honda before I hand over the $2 that I wagered earlier in this thread .

You mean the rubber of the boot is thicker or the shaft or the outer bucket thingo is larger diameter?

ok well the scenario is that some dude at honda told my mechanic WHOM told me that jdm cv boots (the rubber) is generally thicker than the audm. or might be the other way around i cant remember the specifics.

Regardless, the main point that i was making is that you cannot fit a CV boot designed for the AUDM driveshaft on a JDM driveshaft as a replacement.

if you would really like the specifics i could probably ask again but i wouldnt 100% trust what i had been told as most of the guys down at honda dont even know what they are talking about but they are gonna fix my cv boot and thats that...

                hope that helps.
