    sticky/race tape

    just a quick question..

ive been playing around with my mychron lap timer and it looks like
the sensor has to be stuck outside the car rather than sitting on the
dash. so i need some sticky tape that i can use to a) stick the sensor
to the roof of my car with tape which will securely withstand speed
and bumps of the track, b)without it peeling my paint and c) use it to
stick the cable and display to interior plastic securely as well.

anyone know what kind of tape would be suitable for this? where i can
    get it?

Just ask narada (narada@circuit-club.com or 0402425401). At the last Circuit Club trackday, they secured all the magnetic numbers to the side of the cars with tape. No one's complained about paint damage (publicly anyway), so should be fine.

the good old Gaffa. fixes 90% of the worlds problems as far as I am concerned.
Or try Painters tape if your worried about your paint job.

I’ve got a little aluminium bracket made up. I just pull the cover off the passenger side grab handle. Bolt the bracket to the grab handle mounts and stick the pickup on to the bracket. Easy, no damage and it works for clockwise circuits.

If I change the nut behind the wheel then my sloppy lines improve and I can get some consistency to sort out my iffy handling, my worrying lack of braking ability goes away, after that I can start fretting about my suspicious lack of straight line grunt.
