Can't really see anything worth looking at in that pic. If it helps, a new rear mount from Honda is less than $100.

i disagree - that mount appears to be split.

        needs to be replaced.

        USA has tehm: http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...s=&view=normal

so maybe sus that out after you get a price in Australia...

Chris, did u get this sorted out? Just discovered my dc2r has the same issue.

I can see online u can buy other brands like innovative, etc etc... thinking of heading down that route because they seem more robust and last longer.

Hi SpecJ, I have ordered the mount, and am waiting for it to arrive.

It was $120 posted from AK Motorworks, as they responded to a post on Ozhonda regarding where to find one, so all I have to do is swap the mount in, hopefully it's not going to be too much of a bugger to do.

I might get some Innovative ones, but will wait and see if I really need to replace all 3 mounts, I am trying to keep the spending on the car low as it goes great for what I need, and unless I start racing it, don't really want to upgrade the good work that Honda has done from the factory.

            Cheers
            Chris

Does anyone have a DIY on this job? or some good advice (apart from let a Mech do it?)

                Cheers

Great, this is just getting worse haha, I recently sold my engine hoist too (i know its not a car hoist, but might have helped)

So is it better to try and pull the mount out from under the car?

                    Thanks

OK Tinkerbell, I have undone all the bolts, can you or someone tell me what next? do I need to jack the engine/box to get the mount out?

If anyone has a DIY, nows when i really need it!!!!

jack the engine (loosen the other mounts at the front) or take the black T bracket off...

Loosen the torque mounts (2x 14mm bolts) on both sides. As tinkerbell said, remove the rear engine mount bracket (17mm on block/2x19mm gearbox). My advice is to place back the 17mm bolt (the long bolt that goes into the rear mount via bracket) if taken out already then remove it last once the other bracket bolts are loosen.

Once the rear bracket is off, then its getting to those 14mm bolts holding the mount onto the subframe. Real fun!
Everything is reverse order to install.

                                Have fun.
