    Respray front lip

    Thinking of respraying my front lip in the holidays as a diy project.

    Anyone have any particular hints/tips?

    atm i'm thinking wetsand primer wetsand paint clearcoat

    do i need spray putty or whatever?

    if the lip is new and there's no slight cracks or dints etc then you wouldn't need spray putty that's usually used to fix up dints but for cracks (it's best you use abs plastic repair or fibreglass depending on what material your lip is)
    you could just try sanding it down applying couple layers of primer (atleast 2 layers) depending on how that finishes you might want to sand it down so the surface isn't too rough then go with the paint, apply couple layers of this also and with the plant DO NOT sand it i've heard from a detailer friend that when you sand it down you'll leave streaks when you apply the clear coat afterwards. just give each layer enough time to dry before apply the next. and clearcoat sand it down then use a cutting compound (Y)
