    DC5S installing DC5R LSD

From my understanding the DC5S doesn't have an lsd.
I'm considering to get a DC5R lsd and just wondering what do I exactly need?
Is it just the LSD itself? Like on jdmconcept that's $1050?
And finally how much of a hassle is it for it to be installed into the gearbox?

I did search the forums but I didn't find any posts related.

    Any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

The diff centres are a straight swap.
Speedo drive ring gear is not required, speedo drive is off 3rd gear in DC5S
    You'll probably need bearings also.

Rather than OEM, the M-Factory diff is better value.
    $760 for helical type
    $1050 for 1.5way clutch type

Instalation cost - ball park is as follows:
    Gearbox R & R $700 +/- $150
    Gearbox Dissasembly / assembly (fit LSD) $250 +/- $100
    Transmission oil $25+

Ask your mechanic, he'll be able to give you a better idea.
Bare in mind the DC5 does not lend itself to quick gearbox R & R due to need to remove sub frame.

OEM LSD from FD2R, will fit, as that is mine

From memory my install cost me just over 1k, best to do when need clutch replacement. Most of the cost/time is taking the gearbox out.
