    Very bad fuel consumption

    Hey guys,

Just asking b4 I'll take the car back to the tuner I'm pretty much killing 200km in a full tank sounds pretty bad aswell this is for only normal driving and no vtecing, its a ek b18c with internal engine work, I was suggested it could be my O2 sensor is gone, anything else ?

it could be something that is preventing you from driving in "closed loop" operation,

where the ECU tries to maintain a 14.7:1 air fuel ratio (which is optimum for complete and clean combustion)

    things preventing closed loop:

    1. aftermarket ECU
    2. broken MAP sensor
    3. broken o2 sensor

    other things affecting fuel economy:

    1. fuel leak - check all lines and connections
    2. aftermarket ECU - poorly tuned for off throttle fueling
    3. broken injector - remains open, or over fuels
    4. broken fuel pressure regulator - stays full open

yes - that is a BIG concern man!

because fuel evaporates so quickly - a tiny little leak will evaporate a whole tank of fuel really quickly...

get it checked out ASAP - and NO smoking in the car!!!!!!!
