mods to start off with dc2r

    imo twin loop is too quiet don't get it... for something that isn't gonna bash your wallet go for a fujitsubo powergetter, its a beautiful sound and provides great flow... Also, there's not much point spending heaps of cash on an intake like the mugen one, however i just say that coz i'm jealous lol. injen is good.

            when I first step into a mod shop in Thailand....there are two main approaches
            1) What's my HP aim
            2) What's my budget

            final solution is a compromise between the two...

            Another route is to reduce as much WEIGHT from your car and you automatically get the benefits of a track car feel without spending a dime.

            only if you are gung ho about it, do you do what I did to my car....drill speed holes into the inner metal parts that have no structural significance to the car....replace body panels with Carbon Fiber pieces....and get rid of Power Steering and ABS and SRS airbags and radio and antenae post....along with all the metal that holds them up.

            if you want power....you aren't going to be too happy about going the hp route unless you are ok with Turbo. But that will kill the feel of the NA drivability in corners...Plus you don't ever want to go over 280 hp (at fly) 250 hp at wheel on a FWD car....

            and if money is no object...you can do what I did....Engine, Transmission custom gears, custom pipe works in titanium, custom throttle body, custom lexan windows, custom roll cage welded to the car for rigidity, welded chassis, speed holes....I'm starting to look for more things to do to my car all the time....so maybe I'll go for CF bumpers and fenders and roof and 3rd quarter panel of the car skin. Maybe custom make a titanium shift link rod and reduce a few kilos off from my belly.....that should do the trick.....and if all that doesn't get your blood boiling.....then I recommend you get an EVO or Scubie doo....(subaru)

                hey man i really love what you've done with your car, and i respect it alot, but man this guys new to it, and obviously is not gonna drill speed holes in the chassis. keep it real for newbies, sorry, but don't just show off with excessive modification, guide him to a way that isn't gonna confuse him, keep it simple mate.

                    do u want a little bit of feeling in the butt dyno, aswell as a little more looks from people/females?

                    if so, get I/H/E and then do ecu or coilovers. after that look into light flywheels/clutch combo and maybe down the track get some cams or wherever you feel you must go from then..

                    Coilovers will be alot of fun but if you want to be a little bit louder n feel a little more grunt then go for the I/H/E first.

                    n get moooogen number plate bolts like me for 30+ kw

                      im guessing u want power mods. DC2r's dont gain a great deal of power from bolt on mods alone, even with ECU u gain some more but its not as much as other cars.
                      Dont get me wrong, you'll get a gain, just dont expect a great amount.

                        Tyres > coilovers > sway bars > brake pads & fluid > final drive & flywheel > power mods > neverending story...

                        You'll get more out of handling improvements than any amount of power you could chuck at an NA Honda. Take the NSX-R for example. Same power output with slightly shorter gearing than the Type S Zero but a serious handling upgrade and better tyres. It makes the Type S Zero look like an Accord when cornering.

                            Man I love your car, and what you have done with it!! But you keep talking about making it feel like a race car, but does this ever get raced? (It's easy to make a car feel like a race car... just dump exhaust off headers, and put 30kg/mm springs on.) If not, then IMO it's a waste of time and money, and I personally would not listen to a word of advice as you wouldn't be able to properly test these mods out. If you have tracked this, then I apologise.

                            If you are hardcore... BuddyClub Spec II! Nah seriously, Toda 4-2-1 headers, JDM ITR cat, Vision B-pipe and Spoon N1 Exhaust. Best sounding combo, i've had... but actually the Titanium J's Racing exhaust sounds porn too. Intake, MUGEN!

                                First mods: Semis, lightweight flywheel and clutch combo, and some light forged rims - then off to the track. Power mods are great, but reducing the unsprung weight will not only help your car accelerate faster, but also brake and feel better when turning. Go for light weight 15s, no reason to 16s unless your running bigger brakes (or more bling), and more semis available in 15".

                                All you guys who already have I/H/E, get some Spec Bs, dual valve springs and an FPR and tune. You may only get a couple of kw gain top end, but mid range will be awesome.

                                If you're going to the track I'd definitely recommend an oil cooler.
