    Powergetter Vs RMO1A

    Hey Guys,

Wondering if you may be able to shed some light. I currently own an EK4 with Toda Headers with a metal cat and a 2.25 inch (no name) mandrel bent exhaust. The car was bearable initially as it had standard headers and a ceramic cat but once I replaced the headers followed by the cat (after it crapped out) it became way too loud.

Anyway, I have now decided on getting something that will provide a gain in performance and have it on the car without attracting too much attention which is why I'm looking at the Fujitsubo range.

I was wondering if you could advise on the below:

    1. Power - Which provides more power or are they relatively the same? A few places seem to advise the PG provides slightly more torque and other places list the RMO1A as providing more.

    2. Sound/Noise - Seems to be a general consensus that the RMO1A is def quieter. However, is the PG significantly louder?

    Which one actually sounds better?

    3. Aesthetics - Few people seem to thing the PG is ugly.. Anyone got pictures of both exhausts on an EK? If not, perhaps on a DC2?

Overall, Im looking to get something that will provide me with a performance gain whilst not making me go deaf and avoiding unwanted attention.

    Thanks for your help!

    Cheers

Do they provide as much of a gain as the other two exhausts?

For some reason Im not a big fan of that exhaust - dont know if it's just the way it looks...

twinloop will give better midrange and top range torque as it has the loop to boost more torque..
if u want low range to mid range power, u shud turn to RM01A or PG.
I own RM01A and it is quiet, but it is not that quiet when installed with aftermarket header combo..

in terms of KWs gains, they are basically almost the same...

They provide the same power, they look the same as each other, only REAL difference is the sound between the two.

Thanks for the replies - Anyone got a picture of a PG on their DC2R (EK would be even better) for comparison sake..

Think I am just going to stick with the Fujitsubo unless I can find some solid info that Mugen outperforms them substantially. The only reason im actually leaning towards the PG is that I can actually get one second hand.. Cant seem to find any RMO1A to suit an EK at the moment and with the fked exchange rate a new one is approx 1500 bucks....

              Nice car btw Milkman..

Powergetter looks crap imo as well. I have the RMO1A on my dc2.

Damn, pics are blocked at work. Cant wait to see the pictures when I get home.

Still, if performance is pretty much the same I dont know if I should hold off from buying this 2nd hand PG in the hope that an RMO1A will pop up.... hopefully the PG doens't look THAT ugly.

Dang, another pic I cant view.

Any other comments pertaining to performance? Or is it safe to conclude that both are relatively similar.

i am running toda headers with a mugen catback on my dc2r. i can honestly say you can hear no difference between standard and this setup. it is that quiet and looks great as the pic above demonstrates

Power getter is pretty good, on high end you really can hear it gets heaps louder sounds great, down low its pretty quiet IMO

Thanks for all the replies/pictures guys. I can see why the PG isnt the most eye pleasing exhaust (that long tip).

Taking into account though that I can ACTUALLY get one 2nd hand (and I have been looking for a while) i might have to settle - whilst it may not be as nice a looking exhaust, if it performs the same and doesnt sound like a shitter..

Although, I have now begun to consider the Mugen exhaust too - and yes there are a couple available 2nd hand...
