DC2R owners - What size semi slicks are you running?

    Hi Guys
Currently looking at semi slicks - Just wondering what sizes you guys are running on your DC2R with 16x7" rims.

I looked at the TOYO R888 range, but it looks like they don't come in 205/16/45 or 215/16/45

Just wondering if the DC2R with 16x7" rims can run 225/16/45 tyres, or would they be too wide to fit?

What other brands of Semi slicks are you guys running and what sizes? I think the RE55 would come in 215/16/45 tho - how are these tyres like and are they a lot more expensive compared to the TOYO R888?

    Thanks for your help!
    Daniel

I'm running RE55's 215/45/16 all round i had to roll all my guards considering the height of my car. they were close to 400 a corner from memory

I can't compare to any other semi since I've never driven on any other semi's before. But I only hear good things about RE55's!

When I was looking for semi's for anything in the 215/45/16 size only RE55's came in that size so it's going to be hard to find 215/45/16 I think. Maybe Dunlop D01J came in that size.

Having some issues looking for Semis to fit 16x7 rims for a DC2R!
Would R888's 205/55/16 be okay to run on a DC2R or not?

My other option is to fit 205/50/15 on my stock DC2R 15" rims - you guys think that's a better idea?

is that because Dunlops are bigger block?

your car will be jacked up by almost 2cm compare to stock

if you want same size all around try 215/45R16

                        Toyo makes a R888 in 195/50R16 size.

I need new street tyres atm, does the 205/55/15 fit the stock ITR rim ok?

The guy at my local bridgestone place said that the OD (=overall diameter) should be no more than 13mm than the stock tyre diameter, the 205 is 14mm above the stock OD. He said it should be fine and i agreed that 1mm surely couldn't make that much difference.

What are your experiences? and is it worth having a lower profile tyre and a bigger footprint on the road? What are the pro's/cons?

What is the stock tyre size for a DC2R? Isn't it 195/55R15? If that is the case the 205 is 9mm smaller than stock and should be fine as long as the load rating is sufficient.

I just checked the bridgestone website,
                              the 195 = OD of 596
                              the 205 = OD of 608

Making the difference only 12mm's. Looks like the guy made a miscalculation.

Who has the 205's and has any feedback on wether its worth getting them over the 195's?
