hi all,

when replacing deployed airbags (both passenger and driver) do you need a new computer also? or do you just get the factory one reset? what is the process?

dont have to change ur ECU for only change airbags but i heard it need to recode ur ECU for the airbags such as u change from audm to jdm streeing wheel with airbag if not the airbag will not working......but i think if u change audm to audm its fine...for sure just call honda n thats the best way to know

just change the air bags and then goto the dealer and they have a scanner that they plug up to your car and they just clear it they will probably charge you like 50-100 to clear it.

that makes sense, thanx drtran. i was told i would need an additional computer which on top of the airbags would cost an extra $600, i might double check with a dealer since a mechanic told me all this.
