    DIY brake caliper paint?

    Read some existing DIYs but none seem to mention the question i have.

    According to the 'brake caliper & drum paint' can I bought, after finishing painting my calipers I've got to wait 4 days before I can drive my car, as the brake fluid peels the paint before then if it comes into contact with the painted surface.

    Originally I was going to just do it in an afternoon, then drive it the next morning...should I wait 4 days after painting or is my can of paint paraniod lol. :S

    unless your brake callipers are LEAKING, you shouldn't have a problem...

        I hear powdercoating is pretty cheap here you might want to look in to that

                      This is the product i was looking at ordering and using when i have the time to play with this stuff... it looks much neater in terms of application (i like to keep the wheel wells clean) i like the concept of brushing it on rather than spraying, and it is a ceramic coating which is more durable...

                      the only problem is i would LIKE more of a champagne colour to make it look new OEM... tossing up between Gold Silver or Black atm...
