    Thermostat problem?

Hi guys, my first post here...

Just got my DC2R a few weeks ago and noticed when first driving the car from cold the temp guage takes a good 2-3 mins till it gets to normal temp(just below half way)

Is there something wrong with the thermostat?

I have a VTI-R and it use to rise kinda fast

2-3minutes doesn't sound excessive... fairly sure my dc5r takes about the same.. will check next time i take it out

      that sounds quite normal.
my dc2r takes a few minutes to reach norm aswell.
compared to other cars, it takes abit longer but by the sounds of it, your thermostat is fine!

        4)クラッチをつなぐ

mine takes around 15 minutes of driving to get the temperature going. even then, it stays quite low. only after a long time of driving, it settles in the right temp position.

it might be stuffed but vtec engages if i give it time to warm up -> which means mechanically things are working and i'm not going to fix something that isnt broken...yet.

yes get your thermostat replaced... your engine is spending a lot of time working at below its intended normal operating temp range... not sure how bad it really is in balmy australian temps but its hardly a good thing..
