    battery relocation

have a few questions to ask about it.
    if anyone has done it?
    what are the benefits?
    is it hard to do?

or is it even worth doing this?

    cheers

The only benefit I can see is more even weight distribution between the front and rear, which may or may not be desirable. Here is a link to an interesting thread over on honda-tech where weight distribution of FWD cars is discussed LINK. Overall weight will be heavier as the cable required to ensure you have enough current to start the car will be quite thick.

If I was inclined to relocate the battery it would be to where the passenger seat is to keep the weight low and central.

My brother relocated the battery in one of his cars, he simply ran some big cables from the original battery terminals through the firewall to a sealed vented battery box in the boot.

Overall I would say not worth it. If your car is more track focused, maybe go with a lighter battery in the stock location.

I just fitted an Odyssey PC680 in the stock location. Smaller, lighter and you can fit a catch can next to it. No messing around with harnesses either.

unless you need the space, (like i did for my B16A Prelude) then there is no point... IMO...

The only sound coming from the car comes from a 70mm to exhaust.

I might be able to post pics of the battery install tomorrow.
