    Roll Centre Adjuster

Hey, just looking at grabbing a set of lengthened RCA's.

Does anyone know if we have should go for the bigger (05/06 and JDM ITR0 sized RCA or the smaller (02-04 RSX) one?

Anyone with experience with these from any brand?

The JDM one will only fit the JDM LCAs. The bottom joint on the knuckle is also different. For an AUDM DC5 without the JDM LCAs and knuckles stick with the 02-04 RSX-EP3 RCJs.

At the risk of sounding somewhat one eyed, J's were the first to develop these for the DC5 so I'd look at them. I'm also fitting them to my car so I practice what I preach.

At the risk of sounding sceptical, will they break like their tierods?

thought you were asking about roll center adjuster (RCA) in your title but your post talks about lower control arms...

The RCA for the JDM DC5 and EP3/AUDM DC5 are different. The knuckles and LCAs are different and so is the RCA.

ah thanks for clearing that up.

just regarding the RCA then, would it be unnecessary to have aftermarket RCA if you've already done aftermarket steering die rods? (note: not rode ends)

Nope certainly not unnecessary. RCAs and aftermarket tie rods serve two quite different but related functions. Fitting roll centre adjusters will change your camber curve, change toe behaviour with compression and droop, as well as doing the obvious of relocation the front roll centre higher.

You have the J's tie rods correct? In that case they have not made any change to your suspension geometry so they really have no effect apart from being more adjustable.

                  ah i see...thanks ChargeR
i was told by this shop that having the j's tie rods i won't need the rca.
but what you explained makes more sense.
So what you're saying effectively is having the j's tie rods does not "correct" the suspension geometry it just allows more toe adjustment...?

Yeah that is what I am saying.

                      New Question here about RCAs

Are RCAs beneficial for a DC2R/Double Wishbone setup?

No real point in the Felix... don't bother.

Yeah I wouldn't bother. In your double wishbone setup the roll centre isn't going to migrate toward the ground as noticably with lowering compared to a MacPherson strut. Unlikely to be worth the trouble unless you revise the whole geometry.

I got a pair of J's racing RCA installed onto my EG which I use for trackwork, yes I could feel the difference it made but not a huge difference. May on on eg/dc2 that are really dumped they would make more of a difference.

As a result I'm not rushing out for another pair to go onto our dc2r.

Its been suggested that any car lowered by 30mm which is 3cms, RCA is needed to adjust the roll center geometry.

It will dramatically reduce the understeer.
