handbrake light on for 1st 10mins

    hey guys,

am going to get Hanny's to check it out on next service, but my handbrake light has started to stay on for around 10mins or so after starting up in the morning and driving to work...

it goes off by itself but is about 10mins or so before it happens...

    any ideas...

At this time of the year it probably is irrelevant, but i had the same problem in winter when i parked my car outside.. Was almost like it was frozen on :P

I'm not sure if this might be the case but my dad's Avalon had the same problem and it was because the hand brake (or foot brake in the avalon's case) was loose and just needed to be adjusted.

honda uses the handbrake light, i.e. the (!) on the dash to warn of low brake fluid in the master cylinder container...

                  Tinks will be right

If your brake MC is full with brand new pads, it will be low when the pads are almost worn out. Might wanna check them too, if you are running pads with no wear indicators like me - save yourself some rotor damage if they are almost worn out
