    installing lowered springs

just got a set of tanabe DF210 springs. Would i need to cut the stock bump stop when installing them to OEM ITR suspension?
There were 2 pairs of rubber bushings that came with the springs. not too sure what they as i have never seen the stock bump stops and cant compare it.

as far as i know you shouldnt have to cut or modify the bump stops for lowered springs speciffic to your car like the tanabes..dc5r or dc2r?

if his springs are that low, and his car rests on the bump stops (its happend to me on my other car), you have to cut them to allow shock travel, or else his ride will be like absolute shite.

so install them first, then inspect your bump stops , and if they look like they've had contact on both sides (not excluding going over pot holes n stuff) , just snip em a little.

it doesnt hurt. and if u snip too much, just go get new ones. u could snip them in a way that enables them to come off the shaft horizontally, and back on again. kinda like a... bulldog clip onto a pen (shaft).. dunno how to describe.
