    car running slower? (dc2r)

hey all. problem #2. now... i've noticed just recently (today) my car runs slower than normal.. takes longer for the revs to go up, seems fine once it's in vtec but going up vtec takes ages, in any gear.

i've just done my 80k service had oil filter replaced, nothing major done..
any reasons as to why it's running so slow lately? i think it was like this just after i had it serviced because i got 112kw on dyno couple weeks ago.. and didn't seem any different.

i got new tyres aswell but can't see how/why that would make it slower. esp since these tyres are lighter than what i had.

    Thanks.

What oil did they use? Thicker oil will make it feel like it revs up slower than thinner oils

you most likely have a shit batch of fuel mate, wait until your next tank, but if you are that worried chuck in a bottle of octane booster!

EFL is the oil they used (i just checked) (full put a sticker on my engine bay without asking me!"EFL" never going Hanny's again..)
just filled up my car with BP ultimate again... i noticed that if i give a tiny bit of gas it doesn't do shit.. my revs still stay the same..
it doesn't pick up as it used to.. but once it's going it feels sorta normal. like vtec feels normal to a point. at times it feels like it's sluggish too.

that's ELF, and my experiences with it have been positive.

btw, it is getting warmer and my car feels a little sluggy because of the heat... its not environmental factors is it?

My car gets serviced at Hannys with the same oil. Runs fine, doubt it's the oil.

i believe last week was a very humid week too...
definately not an ideal condition for performance ?

                          humid = higher water content

                          colder air = denser

Sounds to me like all these problems could be due to massive weight gain.

Have you put on any weight recently ?

Perhaps your foot has gotten fatter ?
