Click sound during initial drive

On the 1st drive of the day in the morning, when i do a right or left turn, i can feel a click on my steering.

got mechanic to check, cv boots all good, everything was tight.


what could be making this click sound?

on my old car this was a sign of the driveshafts on their way out.

I think I may have the same problem. Does it sound as though something is slightly moving around. I find the sound is more apparent straight after applying so gas and straight after I let off the gas pedal. Is it the same for you?

mine happens when i drive out of my driveway and turn left, once i straighten it there's no sound. and after that it doesnt make any sound at all.

the sound for my car comes from the driver side front wheel

same here, one click on the 1st turn of steering wheel left or right, if the car is parked more than a couple hours

funny thing is my car just started making a clicking sound after starting up too, it only happens with some throttle application for about a minute or two after starting, then after it disappears.

same! is it a perth thing or what? lol notice both kc and u are from Perth as well haha

lol some dodgy atmospheric condition we get? but for you it seems steering related coz you only get the sound only under turning, whereas for me its throttle related, i dunno if its injectors or something else but its only under throttle load that it happens. :S
