    info wanted for Coilovers - DC5 type S

    Hey guys,

    looking to put some coilovers on my car.. not really sure which way to go. Wanting coilovers to lower(only slightly) and improve the handling of my car. never had coilovers before but have had lowered cars.. I've done a search but couldnt find the info im after

    What do u guys recommend for daily driving/Twisties/track(twice a year)????

    I have been told buddy club n+/tein ss would be good for my application

    budget $1500 - $2500(if really needed)

    also wat else do i need to install them etc...

    yep, those two are my picks too.
    if you lower too much, you'll need to get a rear camber kit, and maybe tie rod ends or steering tie rods.

        Was thinking a drop of 1- 1&1/2'' at front and 1&1/2-2'' at rear??? Would that b alright and would then i wouldnt have to do anything else???

          lowering the car at those heights should be fine and wouldn't need anything else.
          but if you do see your alignment settings a bit off, then you will need those.

                Won't the SS be slightly easier to adjust at the rear since the height is simply set via the two spring perch collars, whereas the N+ has the collar inside the spring that must be adjusted and then the spring preload reset?

                  ahh yes...i remember i had to set the rear on those Bc and it was a bitch to set

                            lol...i don't think he'll be back...

                            i still say just lower the car, then if you are not getting the alignment settings you're after, then look into getting things like camber kit, tie rod ends, steering tie rods, etc...
                            ...and maybe a roll centre adjuster.

                              thanks for all the info guys but still dont which way to jump.. buddy club if i wanna go lower and tein's if i want more comfort??? I have prices and there is only $10buck between both so yeah still dont know really.. I guess buddy club has a 2year warranty which is a good thing.

                              where r these coilovers made? ihear taiwan for bc and japan for tein??
