    short shifter for dc5r

    hi guys.

    wanting to put in a short shifter for my dc5r, not sure whether it was a good idea or not. just wondering what brands are avaliable and if anyone has done this mod.

    Buddy Club in my car. There aren't many out there. I haven't actually driven the car with it in, but the effort needed to shift is much more. Nice direct feel though on what is already a sweet shift. For a daily I wouldn't do it though.

      I got the visoustech shortshifter and so do a few others in Melbourne. Works well. Has a few setting to choose from.

      They are a disconnected item though. Unless you can find one second hand somewhere.

              It is expected since the BC is a full replacement where as the VTS is only replacement parts.

              But the VTS SS kit is good enough for me. What I also found is that if you get an after market gear knob which u can screw down further then the OEM one it makes the shifting feel even shorter!

                My brother had a complete M&M kit. Costed about $400 landed, abit high but worked really well! Have a look around on the net......
