    idle/throttle issue?

last friday i had my first drive on my dc2r for months... installed my battery and took it for a drive straight away without warming it up... as you all know i use to run pfc and now running stock ecu...

weird thing is when i drive the car normally and coming to a halt... i put my foot on the clutch and the rev drop from 2500rpm to 200rpm... the car almost stalled... this happened for about 10mins and i stopped, unplugged negative terminal and put it back on... nothing changed...

so took it to honda and they inspected the car and found nothing wrong with it. I picked up my car this morning and everything was fine... the car acted normal... reved it up to 3500rpm and let it go and it dropped to normal idle speed...

my question is... is it because after installing my battery i didnt leave the car to adjust to the new "setting" and drove it straight away??

    probably! try this:

    reset the battery again,

    then start car,

idle with NO LOAD for 1 minute

idle with headlights on low beam (not parkers) for 1 minute

idle with headlights off, heater fan on high and A/C on for 1 minute

(idle should increase slightly to 1000rpm)

then turn off all accessories and idle for 1 minute.

switch off, and start engine again - how is the idle?

    OK?

if not - there my be another problem...

i heard you need to let the car idle for 5-10mins to let the ECU relearn itself.
