cos when i went to pick up my car from the smash repairs... it is on... and they called their mechanics and he said its because of the cams and tat it is running very rich...

he was saying something bout the cams having different timing... causing the ecu to pick up a check engine light...

              yes.

any reason for the check engine light?
the REASON for the check engine light is that there might be a major problem with your engine/ECU

you need to tell us EVERYTHING

why did it goto the mechanics,

                is it yours,

why did you remove the old PFC?

where did the new OEM ecu come from?

why are you talking about camshafts for?

                who removed/replaced the ECU's?

did that person remove the negative terminal from the battery before unplugging it????????

                  its actually a smash repair...

my car got broken into ages ago... they took my pfc... so i took my car to the smash repairers and gave them my ecu... and when i next saw my car it has the engine light on....

i have cam gears on and thought it might be due to tat... not sure who put in the ecu and how they did it... :S

                    shit. you might be screwed.

you need to find out WHAT ecu they put on there... it may be the wrong one?

or the theives stuffed your harness?

                    whereabouts are you?

i live at waitara, so am kinda local...

but it might be simpler than that...

does your car have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator?

                        who tuned the powerfc?

can you find out if they increased the fuel pressure???

that *might* be why it is running too rich (and it is triggering the CEL due to the overfueling)

hmm... i thought tat watever was tuned before meant nothing when an ecu is rplaced...

will it be safe enough to drive the car to ur place tinks?? maybe u can help a helplessman...??
