    Side Airbag Off Indicator

My side airbag OFF indicator keeps lighting up when I drive. There is no consistency and it will light up for a few seconds or sometimes a few minutes. However it does not come on every time I drive, just occasionally (its been happening more frequently in the past 3 months) .

Do any of the type-s owners experience this problem or have had this happen to them?

I have a fairly stock setup so I don't think its due to any modifications currently on my car.

    Thanks
    Darren

my passenger side sometimes triggers it, but only when someone leans towards the edge of it, but when you lean back, the light is off.

This happened initially but it now comes on when no one is in the car.

Also, is this light only for the passenger side?

this happenend to my old dc5 ages ago, if you put heavy things on the passenger seat the light will turn on....or if your passenger is sitting there leaning forward it will also turn the light on

might just be something is constantly touching the sensor, i'd suggest taking it to a honda dealer and let them look at it if it comes on quite often.

send me a detailed e-mail and I’ll forward it to the guys at my Honda service to find out

if the SRS lights turns on it mean that there is something wrong and will not ignite if you have an accident

get it check out on your next service, take it to a Honda service centre

This is what I'm worried about. I will get it checked out next time I go in for a service.

                  Time for some recaros

Those damn airbags are the only thing stopping me from getting recaros (or any aftermarket bucket seat) but who knows, they may save my life one day...

not they are not......Honda no longer use Recaro seat for new type R's.....instead they use similar design seat from Honda with Type R on it........and Type s use similar style but they are full leather......
