yeah, but that would be the super dooper umpa lumpa units...at our level, we don't need these units...

On hindsight, $5K for 4 shocks is cheap! LOL. My Ducati (ex) had units in excess if $5K, adjustable for everything and remote everything...

Yeah I know we don't NEED them, but quite honestly, I am one of those tools that will only buy the top of the range in the product range. But yeah the fightex are not what i'm after. The Zeals sound more tempting atm.

Maybe don’t believe everything you hear.

If you’ve got your heart set on Zeal’s, then that’s probably what you will get.
But if you really do want the best, as you say, perhaps you should look into it a little deeper.

Re: TODA USA web site reference previously.
The incorrect damper for the DC2 is pictured there & the lower rear pillow ball option is not listed.

& to put a stop to silly rumour of crazy pricing,
Example of Fightex pricing is as follows:
FIGHTEX DA (Dual Adjust) - $2800 – Complete incl lower rear PBO
Or $2295 without PBO strut tops (Use originals) or option part
(F:10K-160 – R:8K-200) - any spring rate can be optioned at time of order for no additional charge.
Current ClubITR Member’s price shown is delivered & incl GST

            Thanks Adrian.

I meant by the best, I wouldn't pick Zeal Function Xs, i'd go for the Function X.

That pricing for Fightex sounds more tempting.

I believe John runs the DAs on both street and track pretty successfully.

amazing... if TODA had advertised how much these dampers are when i was buying my buddy clubs i would have brought them... my perception of the pricing would be along the same lines as above... if they are in the same price range as the rest of the products being discussed on these forums i dont see why a trader wouldn't put a ballpark figure up on their part of the site...

The only reason I thought the prices weren't put on there was because they were an ultra special super expensive product... and the reality is they are an ultra special but reasonably priced product...

Maybe something to think about... end rant...

                  LOL... Ok, Fair comment.

I usually don't put prices up as then I can price it to suit the exchange rate of the day.
Therebye giving the best price I can at the time.
If you set a price, often it's a little over the best you can do to cover any short fall in currency exchange.
That said, when I get a chance, I'll put some prices.
(With a note that the prices are a guide only & that you should enquire for a firm quote)

I guess perception is a funny thing eh.

Might be the reason I do go with Toda Are they in the same league as Zeal Function X? (Is the valving as well suited or is it more track focussed / not good for public roads) I don't mind a harsh ride, as long as it isn't skipping etc.

re: Toda, I have found that its not harsh, hard but not harsh -
As for usage, it really depends on the model you purchase, but even then, the street ones are more than adequate for the track.

Toda is one of the few units that are still made and assembled in Japan.
Alot of the popular brands are no longer made in Japan

Funnily enough i assumed TODA cost around $5k too.

Something to think about Adrian, it seems.

Fightex dampers are not harsh, I tried them on the softest setting and found them too soft, turned them 6-8 clicks and felt heaps better.

On the track, coupled with a Whiteline rear sway, car was very fun and easy to drive.
