    Type of coilovers for DC2R

    Hi guys,

    I'm thinking of getting new coilovers for my DC2.

    Choices are between:

    * Zeal FunctionX
    * Tein Monoflex

    Who knows the spring rates of both types? I'm pretty sure the Tein's are 10 F, 6 R.

    If anyone has tried them out, can you please comment on either. If you were to choose one? What would you choose, and why?

    - Ricki.

          Function X are 12kg/mm front and 8kg/mm rear according to Hyper Rev.

          Vtecmachine you clearly track a fair bit. Maybe you should get something quite track oriented like Mugen N1 or Spoon, or perhaps even Toda Fightex.

          EDIT: Or how about Quantum CRs , then you get external reservoirs, double adjustability and 16/12 spring rates. I really just want someone to try something out of the ordinary and give us a review .

            Thanks Charge R. Yep called Perfect run.

            Zeal Function X - F: 12, R: 8
            Zeal Function Xs - F: 10, R: 6

            Tein Mono's: - F: 10, R: 6

            FARKINGGGG WHICH ONES TO GET?!!?!?

            Will 30 way adjustables be annoying?

              Teins woudnt be as good as the Zeals.

              Hold off abit, then talk to Ben when he gets back..

              He rated the Mono's better than the RSD's..

              All i know is that the Teins are very comfortable.. and you hardcore ricer probably woudnt like that. <3

                Ohhh mate, the RSD aren't the best out there I have to admit.

                Who wants to buy them off me? haha.

                yeah i'm scared that the Tein's might be a bit soft for me. I need to drive you car soon man! So i'm leaning towards the Zeal's now.

                      Are Zeals like the BC RSD's whereby you can lower the car, not to alter the spring travel?

                            I think you mean can one alter the height of the car without altering available damper stroke, and the answer is yes you can just like BC RSD's.
