ppl say you lose bottom end
but i didnt feel that i lost anything
the only problem is they hang very low
i scrap all over the place and im not even that low
my cars not lowered so that wont be an issue. would i have much trouble fitting the headers onto the current stock exhaust? is there anything i need to also get with it in order to make it fit?
yeah. the stock cat or audm is 2.25 inch. the header is 2.5 inch. So in other words, you have to either get a new cat or get a 2.5 flange to weld into the cat.
I wanted to get a 4-1 jdm header too, but i foung a spoon 4-2-1 header selling at $450. So i bought the spoon header. I am also going to do some custom work on the pipings and de-cat at the same time. But leaving the stock exhaust on.
But only with a test pipe/metal catalytic converter and a 2.5 inch catback.
What kind of exhaust system has a AUDM ITR?
In germany,we have the small one with about ~1.8 inch diameter, header also.
I think it wont be much of a difference considering that the german made is of a 1.8", but i think there will be some minor gains with the AUS ITR as it has a 2.25" exhuast. am i right?
Yeah, aus dc2r has 2.25 inch 4-2-1 extractor. Jdm has 2.5 inch 4-1 extractor.
Based on a book i read with dyno proven results, the 4-1 jdm is heaps better than the 4-2-1 audm extractor. Bottom end is the same but high rpm the 4-1 is better. So the 4-1 jdm extractor does not lose bottom end. Dyno proven
dont forget with the stock itr exhaust there is a bottle kneck right after the cat,
it goes down to about 2inch so maybe get an exhaust shop to chop it and weld 2.25
piping, otherwise just get a full custom 2.5 cat back
depends what you want and how far your budget can be stretched
