no, there is minimal/if any difference in cooling effect.

the difference is in construction quality control.

depends what the stakes are, i guess?

in a full race car you need ULTRA reliability... not so much so for a street car...

i upgraded to a PWR alloy radiator, but only because mine was old (160000km) and blew whilst racing...

do you currently experience cooling problems?

these can be due to factors besides proper radiator function...

cost is only reason not to really... of if it has to stay stock for class classification purposes on the race track...

installing a expensiver radiator is not a problem (ie healthy for the engine), it is just expensive...

but PLS dont buy the cheapo china made alloy radiators... these would be a liability, not an asset, on the road IMO...

Yes. In stark contrast to ARC. Spoon is a good compromise.

In hindsight I spent more than needed to on a 36mm ARC but now that it's been turned into a racecar it's value added since a cheaper one probably would've needed replacing.

mm..i dont know if koyo is 'cheapo china one'.
granted many koyo radiators (including the one i have) are license-made in i think Thailand or the Philippines, rather than in japan. however i have seen them used in various high-level motorsport activities (garage kagotani tsukuba time-attack BNR34, several australian GT production race cars inc Porsche GT3s, and of course D1 drifting) and they seem to have good reliability.
i agree that ARC is probably the best choice due to quality although as always something of the highest quality will be more expensive. you get what you pay for

                              [DC5R] Radiator

Planning to order a Koyo Radiator for my DC5R tonight as varies of peole had mention that reaching water temp of 100c on the track are consider 'little high'

As i planned to install some internal goodies in the near future, so i guess it would be a safe step in buying a radiator with better cooling than continue using the stock unit.

Just wondering would the bolt on radiator for RSX-S but bolt on AUDM DC5R?
